Negative experience: This is the most useless travel agency I ever see, I booked a ticket from Lagos Nigeria to Atlanta Georgia. Booking was cancelled, my spouse got to the airport on the day of travel to find out booking was invalid not found on airline system and I ended you paying for another ticket. It’s been over 3weeks no refund nothing, communication is slow, their entire operation is fishy, is scam either their headquarters or US or Ireland office be warned.

Ils me rajoute qu’il faut garder mes factures de paiement de bagages au comptoir et qu’un remboursement serait effectué sur mon compte à ce jour aucun remboursement n’as été effectué je les ais relancé ils prétendent avoir effectuer un remboursement sur mon compte je leur ai envoyé mon relevé bancaire il m’ont dit que le format n’était pas bon je leur ai renvoyé en pdf et la plus de nouvelles ils prétendent m’avoir effectué un virement qui visiblement n’apparaît pas sur mon compte il vous font payer un excédent bagages qui n’est pas valide au près des compagnies et en plus quand vous les relancez limité ils vous traitent de menteur. Negative experience: Booked tickets 19 Nov, arrived at desk 12 Dec, no ticket issued. Email received on day of booking stated "We will make every effort to ensure that your booking is confirmed, however in the unlikely event that the supplier refuses your booking we will contact you on the next working day. You do not need to contact us." Negative experience: I booked a flight from Dublin to Tokyo on Black friday with BudgetAir on their website. My colleague booked the same flight. I was contacted by BudgetAir on the following day to say they were cancelling the contract due to an issue with skyscanner and offered the same flight at 1200euro more. When I contacted my colleague his flights had gone through with the same process. I have engaged with Budgetair to no avail. Beware of booking with this travel agent as you can not be certain that your booking will be honoured. They are still emailing me to see if I want travel insurance for their trip.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, my airline cancelled my flight from kathmandu to dublin at very short notice and there were very little options to get back home. Chantal Hassen was extremely helpful, calling with options five times on a Saturday to help out. Positive experience: Overall would recommend ... I booked two sets of flights from Dublin to Phuket for a travelling party. I found the flights through SkyScanner and they were a great price. When I paid the first flights went through, but the second set didn't as by the time they were processed there was a fare change. I rang BudgetAir and dealt with Asim. He was very helpful on the phone, worked through the options and in the end I paid a small fee to change the flights. To be fair it wasn't really a BudgetAir issue as I accept they are just the broker/travel agent. Asmin made the flight changes, sent back over the booking details 10 minutes later and even better called me back to confirm everything was satisfactory. I was very happy dealing with him. I would give 5 stars but for the disappointment with the flight change. I would use BudgetAir again and would recommend them.

They changed our flight 24 hours before we had to board, and had no explanation or reasoning as to why. They also never issued correct itineraries with all the flight updates/changes, which is why we were confused about our departure time, flight number and getting conflicting emails from the airlines directly. We have a sneaking suspicion budgetair doesn’t book the tickets until the last minute and will also bump you to a cheaper flight (even though you’ve paid for a more expensive one) and not provide any reasoning as to why as this serves them better in terms of profit. For example, for the flight back home, we originally paid for premium economy. Because budgetair seemingly did not book these tickets until the last minute, premium economy ended up selling out and the airline had to notify us at the check-in gate that we were actually seated in economy. The communication is EXTREMELY poor. There is no public number you can call in an emergency, the live chat is just a robot, their emails all seem automated and they escalate everything to a “specialised team” that don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Would highly recommend not using this service, it’s not worth the stress when travelling. Best option is to book through the airline direct even if it’s a few extra dollars - lesson learnt.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Budget air. I booked a flight for my friend and I to travel to India in January 2023 and it was the best price available after an extensive search. My friend's brother sadly died 2 days before we were due to fly and she had to change her ticket last minute literally.
