Negative experience: This is the most useless travel agency I ever see, I booked a ticket from Lagos Nigeria to Atlanta Georgia. Booking was cancelled, my spouse got to the airport on the day of travel to find out booking was invalid not found on airline system and I ended you paying for another ticket. It’s been over 3weeks no refund nothing, communication is slow, their entire operation is fishy, is scam either their headquarters or US or Ireland office be warned.

Negative experience: Avoid! Been forced to buy seats as there was no other option to choose then either choose own seat or recommend by airline. I have never paid/bought seats but this was my first and also LAST time to use your service. Also to check online was a long process to find out what and where to click to be able to check online. I have supposed to 'save' on cheaper ticket but at the end been charged extra for seat

Pracownicy helpdesk nie rozumieją prostych pytań, jak mantrę powtarzają, że dedykowany 'ekspert' wróci z odpowiedzią w 24-48h. Od 3 tygodni czekam na rozwiązanie mojego prostego problemu i jestem odsyłana od konsultanta do konsultanta. Nie mam już sił. Każda rozmowa z konsultantem helpdesk to jak rozmowa ze ścianą. Nigdy więcej tego biura!

Negative experience: À éviter si vous souhaitez voyager tranquillement j’ai effectué une réservation via cette plate-forme qui affichait des prix très alléchant pour un séjour au Mexique du 5 au 17 décembre au fur et à mesure du processus de réservation les prix évoluaient afin de me garantir une tranquillitée d’esprit j’ai payé des supplément pour pouvoir enregistrer des bagages le voyage comportant des escales il était préférable de le faire ainsi j’ai validé mon paiement j’ai reçu mes billets électroniques ainsi que mon contrat indiquant le paiement des bagages en soute mais le jour du départ juste avant de passer au chek in pour enregistrer mes bagages je reçois un mail m’indiquant que finalement mes bagages ne serait pas pris en charge et que je devais payer au comptoir l’enregistrement de mes bagages???!!!! Ils me rajoute qu’il faut garder mes factures de paiement de bagages au comptoir et qu’un remboursement serait effectué sur mon compte à ce jour aucun remboursement n’as été effectué je les ais relancé ils prétendent avoir effectuer un remboursement sur mon compte je leur ai envoyé mon relevé bancaire il m’ont dit que le format n’était pas bon je leur ai renvoyé en pdf et la plus de nouvelles ils prétendent m’avoir effectué un virement qui visiblement n’apparaît pas sur mon compte il vous font payer un excédent bagages qui n’est pas valide au près des compagnies et en plus quand vous les relancez limité ils vous traitent de menteur. Ils ne respectent pas leurs contrats, n’ont aucune considération et ne tiennent pas leur engagements cette plate forme me dégoûte tout simplement j’aurais pu rester bloqué au Mexique à cause de leur inefficacité et leur manque de professionnalisme si vous souhaitez vous mettre dans des situations dramatiques réservez chez eux mais si vous voulez voyager tranquille je vous le déconseille j’ai l’habitude de voyager des Situations compliquées j’en ai rencontré mais je le re dit cette plate forme m’a totalement dégouté pour moi ce sont des voleurs il y pas d’autres mots

Negative experience: Booked tickets 19 Nov, arrived at desk 12 Dec, no ticket issued. Email received on day of booking stated "We will make every effort to ensure that your booking is confirmed, however in the unlikely event that the supplier refuses your booking we will contact you on the next working day. You do not need to contact us." No email received to say ticket booking wasn't confirmed, so assumed booking was good (in hind sight I should have contacted them to confirm, but still, piss poor service).

Negative experience: I booked a flight from Dublin to Tokyo on Black friday with BudgetAir on their website. My colleague booked the same flight. I was contacted by BudgetAir on the following day to say they were cancelling the contract due to an issue with skyscanner and offered the same flight at 1200euro more. When I contacted my colleague his flights had gone through with the same process. I have engaged with Budgetair to no avail. Beware of booking with this travel agent as you can not be certain that your booking will be honoured. They are still emailing me to see if I want travel insurance for their trip.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, my airline cancelled my flight from kathmandu to dublin at very short notice and there were very little options to get back home. Chantal Hassen was extremely helpful, calling with options five times on a Saturday to help out. She ultimately found an option which helped me get back on time for work when the situation was very bleak. Very very good customer service.

Negative experience: In the choice of nationality, Algeria is nonexistent, while they sell Air Algeria tickets.

Fantastic experience: Very good service from Budget Air, prompt and efficient in answering any queries I had. I'm very satisfied with the assistance provided by Chantal Hassen, in particular.

Positive experience: My only complaint is that I entered my partners maiden name when booking the tickets I realised this within minutes and contacted budget Air immediately, the person I dealt with said that I still had to pay the name change fee of €125. This was disappointing as it all happened within minutes of the booking.

Negative experience: This company is the definition of a nerve-wracking experience for travelers. It operates like a professional scam. They sell you a ticket at a reasonable price, but after payment, your booking is changed multiple times without your knowledge. When you try to contact them, they claim the airline made the changes. There’s no phone support, only a chat system where responses take 12 hours or more. I ended up contacting the airline directly and dealt with constant anxiety until the issue was resolved—without any help from Budget Air. Thankfully, my family is finally on their way. My experience with Budget Air and TravelX was extremely stressful. I strongly advise against dealing with them. Don’t be fooled by the low ticket price; there's much more they don't reveal.

Negative experience: Shameful service: They still haven't refunded my money! My experience with this airline has been a total disaster. They owe me a refund since June 2023, and after countless attempts to contact their useless customer service, not only am I still without my money, but they also give me no clear explanation. It’s ridiculous that a company of this size can be so incompetent and fail to meet the bare minimum: returning what is ours! The most irritating thing is that every time I call or write, they feed me the same lie that it will be resolved 'soon'. Who do they think they are fooling? Nothing moves forward and all they do is waste their customers' time. This airline is a bad joke. If you value your money and your peace of mind, run away from them.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service: I still haven't been refunded Unfortunately, my experience with this airline has been disappointing. They owe me a refund since JULY 2023 and despite contacting customer service multiple times, I have received neither a clear response nor my money. It's frustrating that a company of this size is unable to meet its financial commitments to its customers. The worst part is that every time I try to contact them, they tell me that it will be resolved 'soon', but there are no updates. I do not recommend this airline at all, as they seem to have no respect for their users' time or money. Avoid them if you can.

Fantastic experience: Had to cancel my flight, unfortunately i couldn't do it on the website and by call the voice message says to send an email, i did and out of office showed up, so there are some procedures to improve, however i connected with customer service anyway and service of Chantal Hassen was beyond and above positive, very quick problem solution and kind humane approach. you can feel safe with them even though processes are not perfect. thank you.

Negative experience: Hello, I booked a flight ticket from budget air ,due to unforeseen circumstances,I am about reschedule my travel. I booked my flight ticket even at higher price, but for rescheduling my journey, budget air is charging me almost whole of the ticket price by saying the reason with indian festival. The customer service person is directly disconnected my phone call while in trying to teach them out . It's really really a pathetic situation,I faced . Hope in future no one face this kind of situation and not recommending with budget air for any travel anymore.

Positive experience: Overall would recommend ... I booked two sets of flights from Dublin to Phuket for a travelling party. I found the flights through SkyScanner and they were a great price. When I paid the first flights went through, but the second set didn't as by the time they were processed there was a fare change. I rang BudgetAir and dealt with Asim. He was very helpful on the phone, worked through the options and in the end I paid a small fee to change the flights. To be fair it wasn't really a BudgetAir issue as I accept they are just the broker/travel agent. Asmin made the flight changes, sent back over the booking details 10 minutes later and even better called me back to confirm everything was satisfactory. I was very happy dealing with him. I would give 5 stars but for the disappointment with the flight change. I would use BudgetAir again and would recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I am in the process of booking British Airways flights from Dublin to India for the first two weeks in February. So far Chantal has been of great support in resolving concerns I have raised and it is very reassuring to know she is there at the end of the phone.

Negative experience: Did not provide the services and refused to issue the refund I rented a car from BudgetAir through Car Trawler for $189 but never received the car or a refund. I arrived at the airport at 3 am and found no one there to assist me. Despite following all instructions and attempting to contact the car rental desk using the provided number, I received no response. After a 2.5-hour wait and a 22-hour flight, I had to take a taxi to my hotel. When I reached out to them a few days later, they requested my flight ticket information, which I provided. However, they refused to issue a refund, claiming I didn't show up. I insisted that I was there and followed all instructions but got no response. I filed a bank claim, but they repeated the same story to my bank, making it harder to get my money back. It's been two months of trying to resolve this with no resolution in sight. I advise against using this service - they partner with frauds, and by using this services you risk to loose a lot ore than you save.

I contacted the customer service and I was very pleased to get a prompt response. Usually it is a struggle to get in touch with other agencies in case of change in travel plans. My case was dealt by one person throughout, Mr. Asim Shahzad. He was very helpful and kept me informed at various stages of cancellation and refund etc. I had to deal only with him and did not have to explain myself everytime I was in contact, as is the case with many other agencies when one has to talk to a new person everytime and provide explanation from scratch! I would definitely do business with budget air for my next journey and will recommend them to anyone requiring good customer support service.

Then I emailed and emailed and emailed and got no response for 5 weeks which is quite disappointing. Customer service is not a priority for this company nor is it about making things right. Negative experience: I bought some tickets with my partner, Madrid - Bogotá LA1602 on the budgetair platform. But the idea was to travel on the same flight with my partner; he bought the same ticket, but round trip (in fact, he bought it first) and you sent him the confirmation. Once he had the confirmation, I only bought a one-way ticket (I don't need the return because I will come back later). Soon after, he received an email with the cancellation of the purchase. Now he had to buy a much more expensive flight than the initial one, going over the budget we initially had. I called to request a refund of my money because this is your mistake, and they told me it is not possible and that they charge me a penalty of 500 euros.

Negative experience: We booked through Budgetair for our 2 week trip to Japan and had the absolute worst travel experience we’ve ever had because of them. They changed our flight 24 hours before we had to board, and had no explanation or reasoning as to why. We were getting conflicting emails from them and the airlines with different departure times, seemingly because Budgetair didn’t communicate properly to them and moved us to another flight without our consent. They also never issued correct itineraries with all the flight updates/changes, which is why we were confused about our departure time, flight number and getting conflicting emails from the airlines directly. We have a sneaking suspicion budgetair doesn’t book the tickets until the last minute and will also bump you to a cheaper flight (even though you’ve paid for a more expensive one) and not provide any reasoning as to why as this serves them better in terms of profit. For example, for the flight back home, we originally paid for premium economy. Because budgetair seemingly did not book these tickets until the last minute, premium economy ended up selling out and the airline had to notify us at the check-in gate that we were actually seated in economy. The communication is EXTREMELY poor. There is no public number you can call in an emergency, the live chat is just a robot, their emails all seem automated and they escalate everything to a “specialised team” that don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Would highly recommend not using this service, it’s not worth the stress when travelling. Best option is to book through the airline direct even if it’s a few extra dollars - lesson learnt.

Fantastic experience: I was skeptical about using an agency especially when their price was cheaper than the airlines but the reviews seemed good so I took a chance and I’m glad I did. Very straightforward safe booking, booked and got my reference number after a few hours which I could use to view my booking in the airline app and check in etc. Will definitely use BudgetAir Ireland again.

Negative experience: if I could rate 0 stars, believe I would. Not helpful at all, tried to talk to the manager, NEVER called me back, tried to blame the AIRLINE. AWFUL, if I could be back in the past, I would spend a bit more to not have this headache. They literally said I lost my money and ticket because they can't do nothing about it.

Negative experience: If you can afford to book your travel direct with the airline do so, avoid using a booking agent like this, Pay the little extra to the airline as in the end if there is any type of difficulty, the Airline will direct you back to where you booked and they dont care, missed connection due to delays in LHR, and ended having to purchase a new flight to go home, two week holiday in Japan ruined, Budgetair kept say sorry out of our control and the airline said you have to sort with your travel agent. AVOID.

Negative experience: I would have given 0 stars. I had my ticket for April 13, and the service through a chatbot told me to wait until April 12 for a name change. This is truly unprecedented. Moreover, the refund process is taking longer than ever; it was just a small mistake, and for that, I had to cancel my ticket. What madness! It was the first time I bought a ticket online; it was really a bad experience. I really ran away from it; horrible, no one answers the phone. I had to run and do half the steps myself with the airline to keep this platform updated. Today it has been a month, and I still haven't received my refund. Scammers! They blame the bank, which is false.

Negative experience: We are waiting for a refund due to a flight cancellation by the company and they are not attending to us. The chat is a machine and the people do not assist you. We are trying to get the refund via email but so far there has been no response.

Negative experience: I'd give 0 stars if I could, completely misleading service. I booked 2 tickets from Dublin to Seoul, at which I thought was a great price,and after not receiving a confirmation email for the booking that day I had a feeling something was off. The next morning I got an email saying that due to a 'glitch' the tickets were unable to be booked and now the price is 600 euro more expensive!! I don't get why that price was listed or why any money was taken from my account in the first place if the booking wasn't even confirmed. Now I'm waiting on a refund and still have no tickets booked because the prices have shot up in the last day. Don't waste your time or money, you'll only end up disappointed....

Agency booked flights to America from two separate airports in England with not enough time, agency kept quiet did not inform us and took money. Ended up missing flights because first one was cancelled and not one peep out of the agency, money driven is all and awful customer service will never recommend . Highly disappointed and frustrated

Negative experience: booked an international roundtrip , they never posted or emailed my tickets. got an injury abroad , needed my ticket to contact airline . tried to get it from Budget air, only automated responses, felt totally abandoned by them. never again

Negative experience: They showed different prices when you book online and when they payment is made they will send you another email to look for extra money if you want to confirm tickets

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Budget air. I booked a flight for my friend and I to travel to India in January 2023 and it was the best price available after an extensive search. My friend's brother sadly died 2 days before we were due to fly and she had to change her ticket last minute literally. An exceptionally kind woman called Mary from Budget Air searched for the best price for her to change for 10 days later as my friend is on a very tight budget and Mary spent literally hours helping us as it wasn't easy to change at peak travel times to India. I will use them now for all flights in the future.

Fantastic experience: Very good service. Everything was confirmed straight away after booking in few minutes. When we had to cancel due to our plan, it was very easy to contact agent staff through phone to request the cancellation. The process to get refund was supposed 8-10 weeks but we actually received refund earlier. Really impressed! Will use their service in future.
