Negative experience: I asked about alternative payment plan. The rep who responded was condescending and horrible. Charge extortionate fees for trips. Also take payment on a different date than initially agreed upon. Schools should find an alternative travel provider. Not fair on parents.

Fantastic experience: In May I took a group of 65 students on a TY trip border hopping with Saffron Travel (Belgium, Germany & Netherlands) & everything went so well, students had a great time & for me organising it was much easier than other companies I’ve used & we had a guide with us all the time once we landed - this was new for me & was absolutely great. He was so accommodating & helpful & I didn’t feel that it was all on my shoulders. I didn’t find it any more expensive & I felt they took more of the work load off me. I would highly recommend Saffron. They are very niche, small Irish company - who did an excellent job for us.

Fantastic experience: I have booked 3 school tours with Saffron over the last number of years. Everything from start to finish was excellent. Lyndsey made booking and payment very simple. Tour guides on all tours were very friendly and knowledgeable. They provided great value for money for the students who went on the tour. I would highly recommend saffron and will be using them in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have used Saffron Travel for all of my foreign school trips both skiing and cultural trips. They have taken us to USA, Andorra, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and Austria. I have just come back from an inspection ski trip to Norway and this new destination in their portfolio is a great find. Everyone at the resort couldn't have been more helpful. The food was amazing. The accommodation was well equipped and modern. Everything ran very smoothly. It has an excellent beginner area that will allow students to progress easily on to blues, reds and even blacks.Well done to the team at Saffron Travel for finding this ski in-ski out gem.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend using Saffron Travel for any school tours. This was our first time using them and it was such a pleasure to deal with Lyndsey and all of the team. She was so dedicated to the trip being a success and answered any queries we had so quickly. The whole trip was planned so well. We got to see so much of Paris in 3 days. Our students, staff and parents have been very impressed and we will definitely be using them again.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Saffron Travel for any school that is planning school tours. We have used this company for many many years now, but this was my first year as the tour Co-Ordinator. I found Lindsey extremely professional and helpful, and the trip was planned meticulously. This year we went to Berlin. Accommodation, Transport, Evening meals and Activities were all fabulous and appealed to all the students. We had a tour guide throughout that met us at the airport on arrival and left us at the airport when coming home! wow! This was a fantastic support and gave me such peace of mind, it completely took the stress out of the trip. Saffron also handled all of the financial side electronically directly with the parents, gathering the cost in installments after an initial deposit was paid... . so I had no responsibility collecting /handling all of that money. I had very happy, satisfied students coming home, and they got great value for their money. I have already used Saffron to book next years 'Border Hopping' tripI would definitely recommend Saffron.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Saffron Travel. Lindsey and her team organised 3 trips to Paris for our school this year. The preparation from start to finish was so professional in organising payment plans, flights,accommodation, meals,tours,buses,taxis..... Everyone was so efficient,reliable and accommodating. Our tour guide,Yassine,was invaluable. He went out of his way on numerous occasions to ensure the smooth running of each trip. Looking forward to Saffron organising our 2024 tours.

Fantastic experience: If anybody is looking for a tour company recommendation I HIGHLY recommend Saffron Travel. I gathered parents emails, sent it to the company and they did the rest. They arranged payment plans, medical details, passports etc. They emailed me all these details before we left. The tour - border hopping (Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands) was organised with military precision. Our accommodation was lovely and food was fabulous. I will be rebooking before the end of the year for next years Group.

Fantastic experience: We used Saffron Travel for our school tour again this year. It was my first year as tour co-ordinator and Stephen couldn't have been more helpful. He was so patient with my endless questions. Having a Saffron tour manager with us was really the icing on the cake. It took the stress out of everything while we were on the tour. He even got out and directed traffic for us when we were stuck in a traffic jam. Thanks for the great service Saffron and I am looking forward to booking next years tour with you again.

Fantastic experience: I am just back from a School Trip with 58 students. Saffron Travel couldn't have done anymore for us. Everything was so well organised. From the preparation in the months previous, liaising with the parents and the finance, the accommodation and restaurants booked for us, the activities suitable for active teenagers - it was superb service. The tour guide was our shining light. Every morning, he tweaked and revised our schedule to ensure we have maximum enjoyment. I would highly recommend this company!

Fantastic experience: Very happy with our recent School Tour with Saffron to Belfast, Derry and the Giants Causeway. Great guides at every step of the way. Lindsey was very easy to contact and deal with throughout the trip. Very happy with all that was organised throughout the tour.

Negative experience: Terrible service. When asking for quote I was rudely asked by manager if I had heard about rugby worldcup. I told him I was not happy with his comment but he just repeated it, to admit later he was just trying to save time re search. He was "joking". Avoid company and especially Steven.

Negative experience: Do not go with this travel company. !!! This travel company has very bad customer service. The school my daughter goes to went with this travel company for one of there ty trips. When I was booking this trip for my daughter there was a fault in the website that we later found out “when it was too late”. We rang up the company many of times and when we finally got a answer they agreed that if a person drops out of this trip there would be a space available for my daughter so a few weeks later a boy in her class dropped out. He got no money refund and they also claimed that my daughter could not go as “there would be no room on the bus for my child” which is a major red flag and dose not make any sense as they boy had dropped out. Every time I tried to question it I was not given a answer I was just rudely dismissed and got told “I cannot keep going around in circles there is no room on the bus for your child” when I would question why she could not go even tho they agreed to let her if a space became available a week later the rest went on the trip and we found out by her friends that there was loads of room on the bus and loads of spare seats. My child was very upset and I’m very disappointed. So you won’t get any refund and you will get a bad customer service. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: Schools don't deal with this company, I cancelled my daughters trip within the agreed time with them as she was having serious health problems that prevents her from flying and they would not pay my money back. They are a disgrace especially if you need to cancel. They backtrack on their package they agreed with the school. Installments could be cancelled before a certain time and refunded, but they would not refund a single penny. My friends and I are going to email all the secondary schools on the east coast to warn them. Spread my personal truthful experience of the company and bad reviews. Hopefully it will do harm to their business next year when they have less trips booked. This could have been avoided by them for a few hundred quid. I wish I never heard of them but they will wish they never heard of me ! E.E.

Fantastic experience: Just back from a ski trip with Saffron travel. Totally hassle free from start to end. Excellent choice of location and accommodation. Perfectly suited to the level of the group. We had a super week. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Have dealt with Saffron for 16 years as tour leader. I have nothing but good things to say about their ability to cater for the needs of the students they organise trips for. Teenagers have simple needs on a school trip. Good food, comfortable bed and fun. Saffron ensure this while also ensuring that the students learn a bit of culture /history without them actually realising it!!. It has made my job an awful lot easier over the years.

Negative experience: Dreadful. No attempt to repair what they have admitted are their mistakes, despite the disappointment this is causing children. I just wish it would let me leave zero stars.

Negative experience: I wholeheartedly agree with the previous poor reviews of this organisation. They have little or no empathy for their customers. Very disappointed given that the target customer base is school children.

Negative experience: My partner just rang to find out about a school trip we have to pay for. The lad that answered the phone was beyond ignorant, said he was on holidays for summer and hung up on her and going off other reviews I would highly recommend staying away from this company/man..

Negative experience: They keep emailing looking for payment even when the payment is made, from a "no reply" email and have no telephone number on their website. Arrogant and thoroughly unprofessional. Schools should think twice be fore dealing with this company as it reflects very poorly on the schools who deal with them.

Negative experience: Horrible to deal with dont answer phones r email my daughters school booked a trip for Poland for the children it didn't go ahead because of covid lost all my money didnt get a penny back not even an explanation off them disgraceful
