Abbey Travel Swords

Fantastic experience: Yet again we booked our holiday through Jacynta Mullen, Abbey Travel, Swords and we had a fantastic time in Portimão. Jacynta never fails to do a professional job and send you to the best places with the best locations. She listens to your needs and then makes the holiday fit. The apartments were very modern and definitely a full 4 star and the facilities exceptional. Even a washing machine in the apartment. It was clean and the cleaners came every day to clean, make beds and change the towels. We didn't use the Bar or Restaurant but it was there for Breakfast and Dinner if required. It was only a fifteen minute walk to a fantastic beach and ten minutes in the other directing to the Continent Supermarket with shops upstairs with a fantastic selection. Cost of living out there is so cheap eating out in great restaurants with fresh fish was also inexpensive. They are located so centrally that you can walk to Praia da Rocha in 15 minutes, Portimão Harbour 30 minutes, or Taxis average €3.50 to €5. Alvor is always worth a visit and a Taxi was only€7. Overall it was a fantastic location and would definitely return. The strange this is, Jacynta keeps sending us away and we keep coming back . Thanks again. Howard

Fantastic experience: We booked our trip to Mexico with Jacynta and she was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always only an email away if we had any queries. We had a fabulous holiday thanks to Jacynta's expertise and I would highly recommend her to help plan any trip.

Negative experience: I booked the holiday off a life time to celebrate my 50th birthday through Abbey Travel and I was disappointed. I went through a travel agent so that i could draw on their expertise however i feel that the trip was badly planned by my coordinator. I had issues with connecting flights being cancelled which apparently is the norm over in America, i wish our travel agent had advised us on longer stop over giving us plenty of time to catch our planned cruise, instead we were stranded for hours, managed to get 5 of us on a standby flight the next day, but my my partner missed the cruise as they couldn't fit us all on the standby flight, he spent two days travelling onwards on various flights, transfers and ferries trying to catch up with the cruise, this ruined our Christmas as we were apart for the first time ever. Our coordinator at Abbey Travel tried to blame this on the weather but our flight cancellation had nothing to do with bad weather it was operational and apparently happens regularly in the states. Also when we arrived to our hotel after the cruise the rooms that we had booked and paid for were not available, so another issue with our booking. All in all not a great service would not use Abbey Travel Again

Fantastic experience: My first time dealing with Abbey travel, staff very polite on the phone. I dealt with a lovely girl Jacynta. Extremely helpful even though I was changing dates as we are two families travelling, she was very professional and friendly at all times. Would highly recommend and will defiently book through them again.

Fantastic experience: This is the travel agency with the bargains I've been dealing with abbey travel for years and they never dissapoint always finding the best deals going staff so helpful just tell them where u want to go and u won't be disappointed
