Fantastic experience: We’ve returned from our cruise vacation with nothing but awe and admiration for the magic vacations team and of course the cruise company we were on board with. Prior to our departure our travel agent John at magic vacations was nothing less than exceptional with our questions and queries. Even while abroad he was always ensuring we had everything and was available when we needed anything. The team at magic vacations make holidays so seamless and made us feel special and well looked after prior to and on our holiday. I really felt they went above and beyond for us. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again

Fantastic experience: Family Cruise We booked a group family cruise with John and can I just say I travel lots and do most online , but John takes away all your headaches and stress . Nice to phone someone always helpful and positive nothing every to much trouble . Then Helen in accounts does everything possible to make payment easy . What a team if only there were more in the world like this team , travel would be even sweeter . Well done and keep doing what you do great at .

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from Florida that we booked through Magic Vacations. I can't praise them highly enough. Our airline cancelled our flight 3 weeks before we left and John tirelessly worked on it until he got an alternative that we were happy with. I have recommended Magic Vacations to all of my family and friends and I will definitely use them the next time I go on holidays, especially to the US.

Fantastic experience: Magic Vacations organised such a seamless magical adventure for us to Disneyland Paris. They were so supportive, honest and kind and took all the stress out of organising this trip (which always seemed too complicated to me), I didn’t even have to wonder about what time to turn up to the airport as the transfers were all booked, we just had to show up. They were always at the other end of the phone and were happy to take the time to answer questions, big and small and they gave suggestions based on my families interests. We will definitely be in touch for more magic adventures. We are so glad we found them.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Magic Vacations. In 2019 we booked a June 2020 Mediterranean cruise, which was delayed due to covid. Throughout the pandemic the staff were so helpful in twice having to rearrange our cruise and even managing to keep our free upgrades. Laura and John couldn’t have been more helpful we will definitely use them in future

Negative experience: Cancelled a holiday we had booked in June 2020. Was told I would get my deposit back once they received it back from Disney. I emailed/ rang every month and they ignored me until December 2020 when they said they got it back and asked for my bank details. It never arrived. Rang and emailed for months and all ignored. Taken this to the small claims court now. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Fantastic experience: made booking Disney so easy

Negative experience: We booked our trip last August to travel April of this year traveling to Vegas, Miami and a Caribbean Cruise. We worked with Maria. The initial communication was fine, Maria was ok with her responses. We paid off our holiday in full early (maybe this was our mistake) and that for us is when we saw a huge decline in the service and professionalism we were getting from Maria and in turn Magic Vacations. While we are largely independent and by no means need hand holding as this was my 4th time to the USA and 10th cruise, If we needed to contact Maria about details relating to our trip, visas, transfers, setting up accounts, check in, obtaining documents etc she would take days at a minimum to respond, sometimes up to a week plus. When she did respond she rarely had a definite answer and we were often met with narky comments or instructions on how we could do what we had requested ourselvs. We chose to book with a travel agent for ease. While we experienced too many issues to discuss in a review some examples of the horrendous communication and customer service or lack of include when I had asked Maria to complete our online check in for our cruise as most travel agents do this. We feel that I had to hound Maria every step of the way for updates, again this was to our surprise as any previous experiences with other agents have been nothing short of perfect. Maria initially declined to complete this, I spent the best part of a week emailing back and forth receiving a narky tone from Maria in her replies when asking Maria to complete this process in plain English. I was met with responses containing not only a unprofessional manner but instructions on how I could complete the process despite my earlier emails indicating I was aware of how the process worked however we did not have time to complete the process and as we were paying our travel agent I would have expected this to be complete without issues. After a week of back and forth I managed to communicate to Maria that we have been asking her to complete the process. When she did this she came back to us with wrong information ( not the first time ) stating we would need to give credit card details for our account while on the ship. As an experienced cruiser I knew straight off this was not the case as we could opt for a cash account that we could open when we got on the ship. Based on previous experiences with other great travel agents in Cork & Dublin as a customer you should be given all the options available instead of your travel agent presuming you will be going with their preferred option. It is my belief that this approach was taken to deter us from asking Maria to complete the check in. The next notable issue we had was when Maria spelt my boyfriend’s name wrong on the booking forms forgetting a space between his first and last name. While this is a minor detail this caused havoc for us when trying to complete the online check in the day before our flight when the office was closed. I reached out to Maria about this and never got a response. For us this not only shows negligence on their behalf but also a great deal of unprofessionalism in not proof reading such an important document. Marias mistake meant I had to spend the evening before our holiday contacting our flight operator, Dublin airport and Facebook groups to try get answers on to how resolve this quickly. While discussing Facebook groups, due to this mistake not made by Kevin or I, I chose to post in a great group on Facebook that are very helpful with lots of great experienced travel agents to get some answers and recommendations. I never once named the company we booked with directly. However Magic Vacations saw the post and instead of contacting Kevin or I to rectify their mistake they chose to reach out to the group admin in private and ask for my post to be removed. As there was nothing wrong with my post asking for advice their request was declined. They were then invited to comment publicy and do some PR. They chose to not do so. Overall we feel the service was below par.
